SEDAR+ (System for Electronic Data Analysis and Retrieval +)
SEDAR+ is the online system where Canadian public companies file their continuous-disclosure documents — prospectuses, financial statements, material change reports, early warning reports, and more. It's distinct from SEDI, which handles only insider trade reports.
What is SEDAR+?
SEDAR+ is run by the Canadian Securities Administrators and launched in 2023, consolidating the old SEDAR filing system and several other tools into one platform. Any reporting issuer in Canada files its public disclosure documents here.
The simplest way to keep SEDAR+ and SEDI straight: SEDAR+ is for the COMPANY's filings (prospectuses, financials, material change reports, early warning reports, technical reports), while SEDI is for INSIDERS' personal trade reports (Form 55-102F4). A company's quarterly results live on SEDAR+; a director's open-market purchase lives on SEDI.
SEDAR+ offers free email alert subscriptions for documents filed by companies you follow. Form55 ingests those alerts to surface new filings — material change reports, early warning reports, and NI 43-101 technical reports — on the relevant company pages.
See the SEDI and Early Warning Report entries for the insider- and ownership-level disclosures that complement SEDAR+ company filings.
